Summer

Viola Davis Summer Program

See you next summer! Check back here in Spring 2027.

Calling all rising 3rd to 12th graders! Come spend four weeks this July and August with us at BCT exploring your creative side, making up characters, singing songs, developing storylines, forging new friendships, and writing plays that we’ll produce as part of our season! With lunch, playground time, talent shows, and karaoke parties thrown in too!

Show-In-A-Week

Rising 3rd to 5th and 6th to 8th graders. Campers create their own show in one week, developing characters and a storyline on Day 1, and including songs they already know and love! Teaching artists guide them in improv, singing, and choreography workshops to build their show from scratch and present it to friends and family in our space on the last day of camp!

Write-A-Musical

Rising 6th to 8th and 8th to 12th graders. Campers work with teaching artists to create an original musical for their age group that BCT will produce in the coming season. Characters, storylines, lyrics, and melodies are devised in camp with a reading of the full draft at the end of the summer for friends and family!

Workshops

BCT Audition Workshops

Interested in applying to performing arts programs in high school or college? BCT’s Audition Workshops are a one-stop shop offering everything students need in the school audition process!

Participants receive assistance in choosing material, then learn the fundamentals of acting along with one-on-one and group coaching from experienced BCT Teaching Artists to make their performances shine. At the end of each workshop, students film their auditions with BCT staff and leave with everything they need to submit their materials to schools.

In Fall 2025, 100% of participants who listed a performing arts school as their first choice received an offer to a performing arts school!
