Spring 2024 Theatre Design Class
Theatre Design (6th-12th Grades)
Students in 6th – 12th grades may enroll in Theatre Design. Student designers will work with veteran BCT props, set, costume, and projection designers to create all the design elements used in the Spring 2024 MainStage shows — poster and playbill art, props for all MainStage shows, background images for projections during the show.
Students will learn skills in cardboard sculpture, papier mache, sewing, drawing/painting, digital art, slideshow creation using Keynote software.
This class focuses on visual art, students will not be required to perform on stage. The work created in this class will be featured on stage in BCT’s Spring 2024 MainStage shows.

2024 BCT Viola Davis Summer Program
2024 BCT Viola Davis Summer Program (Rising 5th-12th Grades)
This summer, we are offering several week-long musical-creation camps for students entering
grades 5-7 and grades 8-12. Campers will work with professional musical theatre writers to create shows that BCT will produce on stage in our 2024-2025 season!
These camps are for anyone and everyone!
Our main focus will be on imagination and improvisation. We especially encourage participants who may have difficulty with writing in a traditional school setting.
Lottery entries for the first round pick will be accepted until Monday, April 1st at 10am.

Key Dates
- December 1 – 18: Fill out the lottery form to express your interest in our Spring 2023 season.
- December 19 – 22: Spring 2023 First-Round Lottery is processed
- December 22: Families notified of lottery results
- January 3, 2024: Registration deadline for lottery winners. After this date, we will begin opening spots to people on our waitlists.
- January 31: Teen Ensemble begins
- February 6 – 7: A3, B3, C3 production classes begin
- February 28 – 29: A4, B4, & C4 production classes begin
Spring 2024 Main Stage Musical Production Classes
Children are cast in, rehearse, and perform an original musical play! Classes are limited to 18 students. At the end of the semester, students will perform live at Brooklyn Music School and the performances will be streamed for friends and family.
- MainStage 3 Classes (A3, B3, C3) run for 12 weeks, from February 6 – May 12, 2024
- MainStage 4 Classes (A4, B4, C4) run for 12 weeks from February 28 – June 2, 2024
- Teen Ensemble Classes run for 15 weeks from January 31 – June 16, 2024
Tuition includes full class, costume, and video of final performance.
No child will be refused for an inability to pay. Ask about our scholarships!
A non-refundable/non-transferrable deposit is required to reserve your child’s spot.
A Classes (1st-3rd Grade)
Students in 1st – 3rd grades may enroll in A classes. These classes are 75 minutes in length and the final shows run between 12-15 minutes, with three songs. Each student will have at least 4 lines. Our teaching artists use a variety of techniques to engage early learners and students experiencing acting and singing for the very first time. No academic skills or history with musical theatre are assumed, all students are set up for success.

Students in 3rd – 5th grades may enroll in B classes. These classes are an hour and 45 minutes in length and the final shows running around 20 minutes with four songs. Each student will have at least 5 lines.
